Procrastination is funny.
A recent article prompted readers to share things they had not “gotten around to.” Here are a few examples:
- “A bathroom that began its redecoration twelve years ago and has yet to be painted. Oh, that hurts!”
- The Christmas tree is still up from the year before… and it’s September.
- A reader bought a book called ‘52 Steps To Defeating Procrastination’ ten years ago… and still hasn’t read it.
- One reader lost a check for $7,500 and never got around to asking them to issue another one.
In the end, beating procrastination boils down to one thing.
Taking action. Now.
You can spend DAYS reading, Googling, and talking to friends about important things, but if you don’t take action, nothing will happen and life will stay the same.
Indecision is costly. Exponentially costly.
Forget the unpainted bathroom. Forget the Christmas tree. Forget the book.
